Ordered the Fried Tofu, King Mushrooms and Gyoza and Tonkastu Ramen. The Fried tofu with sambal sauce was delish. However The tonkasu ramen was extremely dissapointing. The pork chasu was not included and was dry and tough. The noodle was super soft and not bouncy which I personally really dislike. The broth was missing depth and was bland tasting. The eggs are not the traditional soy marignated and are just plain hard boiled eggs. My friend ordered no corn and yet they did recieve corn but no bamboo shoots? Server was attentive and kind. The resturant was clean and pretty but overall avoid the ramen it was not worth it at all.

We stopped by Kai Modern Japanese Kitchen after a day at the outlets, drawn in by all the glowing reviews and mouthwatering photos on Google. The place was not too busy when we arrived, so we got seated quickly. The interior is stunning, super modern and stylish, with a great atmosphere that really stands out in downtown Aurora. We kicked things off with some sake and a Diet Coke, then shared the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Jalapeño Salmon Poppers as appetizers. The Brussels were really tasty though I wondered if they fry them individually or as a batch, and the poppers were fresh and enjoyable, even if the portion looked smaller than what we had seen in some of the review pictures. For mains, my wife went with the Galbi Yaki marinated Korean short ribs with Japanese chimichurri and kimchi which our server recommended. I ordered the Volcano Baked Bay Scallops with shrimp, crab, yuzu, and creamy spicy dynamite sauce, also a server suggestion. The dishes looked spectacular when they arrived especially the scallops, but the flavors didnt quite deliver. The Galbi Yaki meat came out a bit hard and overcooked, and my sushi component had an odd curry like sauce that just didnt work for me

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The customer service here is top tier. The staff is attentive, welcoming, and makes sure you have everything you need without feeling rushed. The ambiance is gorgeous with perfect lighting, and the food completely backs it up. Every dish, from the fresh sushi rolls to the crispy appetizers, was flawlessly executed. Phenomenal service and food!

Seriously an incredible experience from start to finish! The hostess greeted us with a big smile and made us feel welcome right away. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made everything even better. For drinks, I had a spicy margarita and a mai tai, both were delicious. We started with the crab rangoon and Brussels sprout salad, and both were a 10/10. the sauce that comes with the crab rangoon was AMAZING! For my entrée, I had the lemongrass chicken bowl, which was amazing. I’ve never been a sushi person, but the California rolls completely changed my mind—they were that good! The fried rice was also incredible. And the real standout? The matcha tiramisu, absolutely unforgettable. This place is such a great addition to the growing excitement in downtown Aurora. Can’t wait to come back!!

We went tonight for the 1st time! Blown away! The service was incredible! Everything we ordered was delicious! I could eat their chicken fried rice everyday if you let me! The chicken was so tender & the rice was so good! The steak was delicious! Cooked to perfection with the BEST grilled carrots! MY son loved his ribs. We had the dumplings. EVERYTHING was delicious! Bravo! This restaurant is definitely going to do well! I was so excited to try it tonight. Great addition to downtown Aurora.
